MGM Resorts announced a partnership with the new professional football league, The Alliance of American Football, launching 9 February 2019.
This partnership ensures MGM will become the first official sports betting sponsor for the league and an investor.
The main provisions of the agreement state MGM will make an investment in The Alliance and a three-year sponsorship agreement which makes MGM an exclusive gaming partner.
The Alliance was founded by Charlie Ebersol and Bill Polian and claims to have new technology which is “revolutionary” and will create a “state of the art experience for fans.”
This partnership will allow the alliance to benefit from MGM’s knowledge and experience with mobile gaming.
When the Alliance launches its league in February next year, fans will be able to stream live matches for free through the league’s mobile app and access integrated gaming services within the app and in states where sports wagering is legal, they can place wagers on the app.
